Hi ya
So, while still here in England and saving up for our tour, we of course have to explore the surroundings before we go abroad. So we, being us 4 kids and mom (dad was working :p) decided to pay a visit to Somerset's famous Noah's Ark Farm.
After packing a picnic basket and snacks for the day we set off arriving there around 11 am. Noah's Ark is home to Elephants, Rhinos, Giraffes, Tigers, Lions, Buffaloes, Bison and Spectacled Bears as well as many other exotic animals and birds. We had an absolute blast going down the zip lines as well as visiting the Ark Arena with activities such as the death slide. It's an amazing family day out, including an exhibition of the Biblical Noah's Ark story and thought provoking educational displays on Creation and 'Evolution'.
It even has the longest hedge maze in the world (so they say), which is 3.2 km long. No, not 3.2 km from one end to the other, but walking it from start to finish (not taking wrong turns of course!).
With talks, presentations, displays and shows throughout the day on the Meerkat, Big Cats, Elephant, Giraffe, Birds of Prey and finishing off the day with the Big Cat Feed, closing time arrived far too quickly and we headed back home around 5 pm.
What an extraordinary experience and place to visit! And far too many things to see, explore and do in one short day!
