Ready, Set... Go! France

Lift off! We left Nailsea on Saturday and stayed with amazing and hospitable friends in Eastbourne for the night. Sunday morning we went for a long walk along the promenade to the pier (with Italian ice-cream!), then drove to Folkstone where we stayed in a car park next to a pub.

This morning we caught a ferry from Dover to Dunkirk and my oh my, what an experience - especially for us kids. It took the ferry 2 hours to get here, but we lost time, because we had to put our time one hour ahead. We left at 10h00 from Dover and 'landed' at 13h00 French time (12h00 UK time). For our friends in South Africa, France is only 1 hour behind you now. :)

We are now staying in Graveline at a motorhome Aire, not too far away from where the ferry 'landed'. We didn't go too far, because tonight we have some planning to do, where to go and what to see. Fortunately we have a little bit of WiFi here.
