Hello Everyone!

It's been a little while, but we are busy busy busy trying to catch up with our schoolwork, working to gather a little bit of extra money and getting organized for the next leg of the tour.

Yep, the count down has started. The ferry date is 28 March, giving us a week to prepare!!!

This time round it was made very clear to us kids that we will have to put in more effort in doing research for the countries we will be traveling to, the reasoning behind this is that we don't miss interesting tourist attractions or destinations. (Because of the lack of information previously it means we will have to re-visit Pompeii at some stage.) One of interesting facts we uncovered was about the Sagrada Familia church in Barcelona. It wasn't under renovation (as we assumed) but it is actually still under construction! They have been busy since 1882 and it STILL needs to be completed! It's been under construction longer than it took the Egyptians to build the pyramids! (I would have thought that with today's technology, it would be finished in no time. Then again it is a bit more complicated than just a pyramid.)

To be honest (Chane speaking), the research isn't my favourite part of this assignment. But someone has to do it, and it actually does feel a lot more re-assuring to know where we are heading at the end of the day. Us girls did the research part, Geneve plotted all the points nicely on a map for Emile, and with his great GPS and navigation skills, he is busy planning an

interesting and well researched route for Merzy and us. Hopefully he will be finished by the time we leave.

Our awesome Mother is getting all the info we need concerning green card insurance, international driving permit and the rules and regulations of each country we intend to pass through. One of the requirements is the E-Visa (electronic visa applied for via the internet) for Turkey. They have rules for different countries. British travelers need a visa costing $20, while South Africans need a visa, but it's free of charge. And me and Dad having German nationality don't need any visa. Strange!

We also hope to buy a SIM card that will allow us to roam in most countries, so we won't have to be on the lookout for free Wi-Fi as much. (It drove me nuts.)

There is an organization called WWOOF (Word Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) that exchanges, for a few hours of work per day, accommodation and food . We have decided to try this out in order to experience different cultures, farming and ways of life. One day we hopefully will be able to apply these experiences on our farm in South Africa. It is all very exciting.

Well, I started out not knowing what to put on this blog. And you're getting quite a mouth full I would say! In the next blog, we'll most probably be on the road. So stay tuned!
