22 May 2017, Monday: After last night’s spectacular display we wake up to the sun shining. It’s a beautiful morning and this time Genève joins Mum, Dad and Emile for their jog. Dad has a hair-trim (yep, we even have our own in-house hair-dresser) and we move on after filling up with water from the beach shower. Along the road we stop to pick some mulberries from a tree. We park in a little village for lunch under a nice shady tree. Dad spots a cherry tree in the yard of a local abandoned clinic, and since we are still part of the EU, we feel entitled to a ‘few’ cherries. We pull off at a beach parking just before Polithea Polydendri and decide to stay. We kids are instructed to collect driftwood for a campfire later. Almost everybody has a swim before settling down around the campfire. Mum and Emile are the last to retire for the night, well past 11:30 pm.

23 May 2017, Tuesday: The usual crowd has their normal fitness ‘burst’ after which they go to cool themselves down in the sea. We leave our friendly German neighbours. After stocking up in Skotinas we stop for a late lunch. Merzy’s one ‘leg’ might have a slow puncture (not sure) and Dad pumps it where we fill up with diesel and decides to keep his eye on it. We stop next to the port at Paralia where we try to update the blog. The parking is not pleasant and we push on a little bit further where we stop near the port of Alikes. We end the day off with some pizzas.

24 May 2017, Wednesday: Dum Dum Daaaaaaaaa! Today I decide to join the fitness freaks in their morning jog. On our way heading to Thessaloniki, we stop at the Kitros excavations which Emile found on his run (a Medieval Castle and Cathedral Church). The caretaker is a friendly Greek who takes us on a tour through ‘his’ ruins. We park Merzy in Thessaloniki at 12:30pm on the verge of a busy road. We pray for the Lord’s protection over Merzy and walk along the promenade towards the White Tower. We visit various sites before uniting back with our beloved Merzy. We leave Thessaloniki and aim for Kalamariá which has a motorhome repair centre and shop. The owners have decided to open up a camperstop with free facilities for all – including washing machine, shower, water, wifi, electricity, etc. A truly unique setup in Greece and we feel really blessed. Mum does 2 loads of washing and we all go to bed clean.
